Nigerian singer, Skales, has shown off his new lover on social media, signaling a fresh chapter in his personal life.
The music star took to Instagram on Friday, August 23, to celebrate model Shauney Monae, whom he described in affectionate terms. Skales referred to her as his “favourite song and guiding light”, praising her for her love, care, and support.
In his post, the singer wrote: “The way you love, the way you care, the way you teach me how to live. So here’s to you, the one I adore, my heart, my muse, my greatest friend.”
The revelation comes nearly two years after the singer’s marriage to Precious Raoul made headlines for the wrong reasons.

Skales and Precious got married in September 2021. At the beginning, their union appeared blissful. On their first wedding anniversary in September 2022, Skales described marriage as the “greatest blessing” of his life, giving fans the impression that all was well.
However, by November 2022, cracks began to show. The singer accused Precious of not taking proper care of his late mother, going as far as labeling her a “devil.” The dispute became public, with Skales releasing a diss track directed at her, even while she was pregnant with their daughter.
In a twist, Skales later retraced his steps. By March 2023, he publicly apologised to Precious, celebrated her birthday, and promised to “do better.” This move sparked speculation at the time that the couple might have reconciled.
Now, the singer appears to have moved on, as his recent post about Shauney Monae suggests a new beginning.
