Former Big Brother Naija housemate Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has sparked debate by calling for severe punishment for those who make false rape allegations.
This came after TikToker Mirabel admitted fabricating her viral rape claim, initially alleging assault in her home, which neighbors and investigations disproved. She later confessed it was false, citing personal issues.

In posts on X and Instagram videos, Tacha condemned rape as a grave crime while stressing that false accusations undermine genuine victims.
She argued that such lies empower rape apologists and make it harder for real survivors to be believed or receive justice.
Tacha urged police and relevant agencies to prosecute Mirabel, demanding she face “the same punishment a rapist would get” as a strong lesson.

She emphasised, “We should NEVER allow stupid women to empower these evil and wicked men! She must be penalized.” Tacha also advocated responsible parenting of boys and warned against weaponizing rape for personal gain, attention, or scores. While acknowledging possible mental health factors, she insisted penalties are essential to preserve the gravity of rape claims.
