Nollywood actress and filmmaker Teniola Aladese has shared insights into her personal life, revealing that she is currently single while admitting that she takes a firm approach to relationships.
The actress made the revelation during an appearance on Pulse Nigeria’s Drink or Spill, where she spoke candidly about her dating life.
Although she said she still goes on dates, Aladese disclosed that she is not in a relationship at the moment and is taking things one step at a time.
She said: “I am trying my best, guys. I date, but currently I am not dating.”
Speaking further about how she approaches relationships, Aladese described herself as someone who is strict when it comes to dating.
However, she was quick to clarify that she sees it as maintaining healthy boundaries rather than being overly demanding.
She said: “I am strict when it comes to dating. I disagree. I think a healthy level of strictness.”
The actress also opened up about what she considers her biggest flaw in relationships, admitting that she has a habit of overthinking situations.

According to her, she tends to analyse things deeply, which is why honest and consistent communication is very important to her.
She continued: “My biggest red flag is probably that I am over analytical. I overanalyse a lot of things, which is why I like to communicate a lot”.
During the interview, Aladese was also asked to name the most dramatic celebrity she knows.
Without hesitation, she mentioned actress Bisola Aiyeola, describing her as one of the most dramatic people she has ever met, while stressing that it is one of the many reasons she loves her.
She added: “That will be Bisola Aiyeola because I love her. She is one of the most dramatic celebrities I have ever met. She is one of my favourite people in the world and I love her for that.”
Aladese also touched on her on-screen collaborations with male actors, revealing that while Uzor Arukwe used to be her favourite co-star, Taiye Arimoro currently tops the list.
