Olakunle Churchill, Tonto Dikeh’s ex-husband has come under heavy criticism following his remark after the actress spoke publicly about her struggles and deliverance from anger, alcohol, and masturbation.
As eelive.ng reported earlier, Churchill posted on Instagram about the importance of true confession soon after the actress shared her story. He wrote, True confession lightens the soul, makes life easier and gives room for peace, healing and renewal.
Many fans were unhappy with Churchill’s post and criticised him in the comments section.
In response to the criticism, Churchill said he overcame challenges that were meant to harm him.
In his words: “I survived what was meant to shatter me and God rewrote my story. What I endured now speaks for itself.”
Even after his response, fans continued to criticise him for his earlier comment. Some said he should have remained silent and pointed out that he also contributed to the end of the marriage.
Reacting one user wrote: “In all Tonto’s testimony, she never referred or mentioned Churchill. Oga relasss o. Don’t make Tonto’s positivity all about you. I believe she has seen the light and the change is permanent.”

Recall that the Nigerian actress during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church shared her story of God’s deliverance.
During her testimony, the actress spoke about her struggles with alcohol addiction, masturbation, prolonged anger issues, and smoking.
Dikeh described her addictions as “demonic oppression” and said she overcame them through divine intervention. She emphasised that she began to see changes after her spiritual life improved.
“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation, too. I have known myself to have sexual intercourse in the dream ever since I was a child,” the actress said.
The 40-year-old said God also recently healed her from “demonic anger,” which had affected her relationships and personal life
After her testimony, Pastor Jerry Eze, the church’s founder, prayed for her. He declared that “the burden of sin is broken” and called her “a voice in her generation.”
