Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has shared a heartfelt and emotional post on Instagram, marking the first death anniversary of her colleague and dear friend, Junior Pope Odonwodo.
The actor, who was also a father of three, tragically lost his life in a boat accident last year while on his way to a movie location.
In her poignant post, Edochie described the pain of losing a child as unbearable, stating that the incident still feels like yesterday. She revealed that her heart was shattered into pieces when she remembered the day Junior Pope died, and that no parent deserves to experience such pain.
Edochie confessed that the tears she has shed over the past year would be enough to fill an ocean, and that the memories of Junior Pope’s vibrant life and laughter continue to bring her to tears.
As she reflected on their time together, Edochie wished she could turn back the hand of time and bring Junior Pope back to life. She prayed that God would comfort his wife and children, and expressed her deep love and appreciation for the actor, who had become like a son to her.

In a touching gesture, Edochie shared a video clip of herself and Junior Pope on a movie location before his death. In the clip, they are seen sharing a playful kiss and having fun together, highlighting the close bond they shared.
Edochie concluded her emotional post by stating that Junior Pope would continue to live on in her heart, and wished that he would rest in peace.
