Nigerian comedian and actor Woli Arole has found himself at the center of a heated debate with his recent comments on women who choose surrogacy despite being physically capable of carrying a pregnancy to full term.
In a post on Instagram, Arole expressed his belief that it is a blessing for women to carry their babies in their wombs, as ordained by God.

Arole admonished women not to be swayed by “wokeness,” which he seems to imply is a deviation from traditional values. According to him, surrogacy and IVF are only justified in cases where there are medical reasons. He emphasized that women’s bodies are “God’s temple” and that they should not claim ownership or make decisions about their reproductive choices based on personal preferences.
