They Cooked for Me—Jim Iyke Reveals How Dating Campus Girls Saved Him in University

Nollywood actor James Ikechukwu Esomugha, A.K.A Jim Iyke has shared a humorous story from his university days, revealing that his inability to cook once influenced the way he approached relationships.

Speaking about his time at university, the 49-year-old recalled that he would deliberately pursue women who were good at cooking because he could not prepare meals for himself.

He admitted that some of those relationships were short-lived, as his main motivation was often getting a home-cooked meal.

He said:“The only thing I don’t know how to do in this life is cooking.”

The actor explained that his unusual approach eventually became a pattern, and he frequently approached different women in his department.

According to him, he would end the relationship after the woman had cooked for him, until his classmates eventually discovered what he was doing.

He continued: “In university, I used to toast girls every week so they could cook for me.”

Jim Iyke said his strategy eventually came back to haunt him when word spread around the department.

After being exposed, he claimed that women became reluctant to entertain his advances.

He said: “Once she finished cooking, I’d break up with her.”

Reflecting on the consequences of his actions, the actor added:
