A video of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, with Nigerian Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Adewale, better known as K1 De Ultimate, at a recent event has sparked mixed reactions on social media.
eelive.ng understands that Oba Isa Abiodun Olakunle Faronbi Shekoni, Mobadenle Arolagbade Alagbeji III, the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom’ on Saturday, June 28th, held his three-month coronation ceremony. The event, held at Isolo, was attended by top dignitaries.

In the viral video, the Ooni of Ife makes an entrance at the ceremony when he is approached by the Fuji musician, who, rather than bowing to greet him, only extends his hand for a handshake.
The video, which has since gone viral had attracted a lot of backlash, from netizens who called out the Ooni of Ife for permitting such disrespect from the musician. However, others noted that there was nothing disrespectful about the video.

One user, commented: “That guy don useless the throne.”
“We need to understand personal relationships. I can’t see any disrespect in this video …. They both seems to be close friends,” another user said, backing the king.
One user remarked: “Na the king walk go meet am now and k1 still show respect na until him sleep for grand Abi.”
Another user posted: “When you’re too accessible and available, you loose your valuation.”
One user alleged: “From another angle. Many things(juju) fit dey k1 body for that event wey fit make am no prostrate. and again, he still bow now.”
