Nollywood actress, Bukola Awoyemi, professionally known as Bukola Arugba has expressed sadness over the recent church attack, abduction, and killings of worshippers in Eruku, a boundary town in the Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.
A video circulating on social media showed the moment some group of gunmen stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in the Eruku community, killing at least three people.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening during a church service at the Oke Isegun Church in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State. Gunmen opened fire on worshippers and forced others into the bush at gunpoint.

One eyewitness told reporters: “The gunmen came in suddenly and started shooting. Three people were killed instantly. They gathered others at gunpoint and marched them into the bush. We still don’t know the exact number taken.”
Another resident echoed the fear gripping the community: “They came in the evening and started shooting. Two people were killed instantly, and we don’t even know how many were taken.”

Reacting to the incident, the actess via her Instagram page called on the Kwara State government to intervene, as she noted that the unfortunate incident happened in her town.
