The bitter feud between Nollywood actresses Lizzy Anjorin and Iyabo Ojo has once again spilled into the spotlight, this time drawing fierce backlash from netizens who are up against Anjorin.
The controversy erupted following the burial of veteran filmmaker Allwell Ademola, who died on December 27, 2025, after suffering a heart attack.
The final burial rites took place on January 9, 2026, at Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos, attended by several industry heavyweights including Odunlade Adekola, Fathia Williams, and Saidi Balogun among others.
Anjorin in a video alleged that Ojo’s presence at the burial was nothing more than an attempt to “mock” the deceased brother. The claim quickly went viral, prompting criticism from netizens. Before the burial, Allwell’s brother had called out some big names in the movie industry including Iyabo Ojo, asking them if they showed his sister support when she was alive despite collaboration on numerous projects.
He however, retracted his statement and apologized to Ojo clarifying that his statement was not directed to her personally. Videos and pictures later circulated showing he went to meet the actress during the burial ceremony prostrating and hugging Ojo. This very move made Anjorin bash her colleague Ojo and alleged her attendance was to make Allwell’s brother a subject of bully.
