Nigerian veteran actor Alapini Osa has drawn sharp criticism from netizens after defending President Bola Tinubu in a fresh interview with colleague Kunle Afod.
Alapini asserting that Tinubu’s sole aim is to improve Nigeria stressing that the president “didn’t become president because of money or affluence” since he was already wealthy and famous, describing him as a “cheerful giver.”

Alapini added that Nigerians “appointed him for a reason,” claiming Tinubu is “already doing it and will do more,” while warning that critics aiming to destabilise the government would fail.
He wrapped saying: “He who has ears, let him hear. And if you like, don’t hear, Tinubu will fix this country.”
The online community erupted in backlash, fueled by the harsh economic realities of soaring living costs, inflation, and hardship. Many recalled how Alapini previously voiced deep regret over campaigning for Tinubu in 2023, lamenting unfulfilled promises, neglect after the election, and even criticising Seyi Tinubu.
