Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has broken her silence on the arrest of her best friend, Ann, accusing estranged husband Senator Ned Nwoko of orchestrating a campaign of harassment amid their bitter separation.
In a raw post shared today on her Instastory, Regina questioned the escalating allegations and the handling of the case by Nigerian police. Her full statement reads:
“My dearest best friend was arrested yesterday which makes me wonder what exactly is the problem with my ex… I hate to believe or further promote the idea of Nigerian police force lack of credibility… how did a case of domestic violence get overshadowed by drug addiction and now theft… Senator Ned Nwoko… it is now clear that he enjoys this social media banter… but to what end Ned?”
The actress asked how a domestic violence claims made by her against Nwoko, followed by drug supplier accusations against Ann, which Regina countered with a clean UK drug test, now turn to theft charges involving $40,000 allegedly stolen from Ned’s home.
Regina expressed fear for Ann’s safety, insisting the arrests are not being conducted legally. She rhetorically offered to write a book on Ned’s countless frustrations; “I literally write I can literally write a whole book of his countless frustration privately and publicly without repeating the same detail because I love writing but that might just be me playing into his game.”
Police from Ajah Division arrested Ann on January 12 on charges including conspiracy, assault, theft, and cyberbullying. Regina’s brother Sammy Daniels has also faced repeated arrests in recent months.
