Nollywood actress cum politician Tonto Dikeh has humorously lamented not owning the latest iPhone 16 while calling out a family member on social media.
In a playful post shared on her Instagram page, the actress, who recently celebrated her 40th birthday, accused her uncle, identified as @tevriss, of being obsessed with her. She jokingly scolded him for consistently posting her pictures online before she does.
Dikeh also addressed the growing social pressure surrounding the new iPhone 16, saying it has led to “see-finish” and what she described as “street insecurity.”
“This iPhone 16 that I don’t have is causing me all kinds of street insecurity,” she wrote.
She revealed that although she owns a brand-new iPhone 16 gifted to her, she’s hesitant to use it due to anxiety associated with using phone gifts.
“I have one brand new iPhone 16, but the fear of using phone gifts is giving me anxiety… That will never be me,” she added.
In a light-hearted jab, she warned her uncle, “Uncle @tevriss, why are you posting my pictures before me? The thunder that will strike you is doing push-ups. This is a family callout.”
Her post, filled with humour and playful banter, quickly sparked reactions among fans, many of whom joined in the fun and tagged her uncle in the comments.
The actress’ publicly rant comes shortly after Funke Akindele gifted her colleague,Iyabo Ojo a brand-new iPhone 16. Iyabo, via her Instagram shared a photo of the phone gift, revealing that the actress kept to her promise of changing her Samsung phone.
Last year, Nkechi Blessing had tensioned the internet as she acquired an iPhone 16. Showing off her acquisition, she expressed excitement at finally acquiring the much-talked-about device as she showed off her iPhone collection.
