Too many untimely deaths – Reactions as ‎two Nollywood cinematographers die in tragic car crash

A black Sunday in the Nollywood industry as devastating car accident claimed the lives of two Nollywood cinematographers, Johnson Onoriode Ododife and Chigo Gozman, on Sunday, May 11.

The incident occurred while they were returning from a colleague’s wedding in Port Harcourt.

Actor Yul Edochie mourning their passing on, stated, “Too many untimely deaths in Nollywood. Really Sad. R.I.P to our fallen brothers. May God grant your families the strength to bear this painful loss.”

Ododife, served as the Delta State chairman of the Cinematographers Society of Nigeria (CSN), and Gozman, a talented content creator and cinematographer.

Stanley Ontop who shared the heartbreaking news, captioned history post saying: “Black Sunday in Nollywood Delta Asaba as we lost 2 crew members in an auto crash (accident) in PH while returning from one of their members’ wedding yesterday… I am heartbroken chai gozie my friend and brother. May their souls rest in peace. This too shall pass.”

The news has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood community, with fans and colleagues coming together to pay their respects and offer support to those affected by this tragic loss.
