After a prolonged illness, gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, known as Omije Ojumi, has prompted her colleagues Yinka Alaseyori and Sarah Apekeola to appeal for support from fans and well-wishers.
They took to their Instagram pages on Friday to share pictures of the ill singer, while seeking for support.
Sarah wrote, “Aunty mii @omije_ojumi I know you to be a strong woman, the God of your calling will never forsake you ijn ma. This is a heartfelt plea to everyone reading this. Today, we cry out for AKININNAANU OLUBUNMI (Omije OJUMI), a woman whose laughter once lit up every room, and whose voice has tremendously blessed so many lives.

The devil may try but he is only going to FAIL. Now, she needs us, her family, friends, and every soul she’s ever inspired. Please, help us bring Minister Bunmi back to her feet. Others like, Olabest, Alayo Melody and Lanre Alewilese also solicited for financial help.
It would be recalled that in October, Bunmi sparked concern after a video of her looking ill surfaced online.
In the clip, she was seen crying and struggling to speak during a prayer session. A bandage was wrapped around her hand and her leg appeared visibly swollen. The pastor leading the session placed his foot on hers, praying passionately for her healing and urging her to hold on to faith that she would testify to God’s goodness.
Bunmi Akinnaanu, known for gospel favourites such as ‘Omije Ojumi’ and ‘O Ti Sure’, has inspired many through her music over the years.
