Gospel music icon Tope Alabi has entered the joyful ranks of grandmotherhood after her daughter Ayomiku Alabi and husband Oluwole welcomed a baby girl, delighting family, friends and fans alike.
Ayomiku, the eldest daughter of the celebrated Nigerian singer, shared the news on her official Instagram page on Friday, 23 January 2026, posting maternity photos and expressing gratitude to God.
The birth of her first child comes just under a year after Ayomiku and Oluwole tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony on 12 March 2025, which was attended by close family and friends. While the couple have not yet revealed their daughter’s name publicly, early congratulatory messages have flooded social media, celebrating both the newborn and Tope Alabi’s new role as a grandmother.
Ayomiku, who graduated from Bowen University with a degree in music, has followed in her mother’s footsteps with her own creative pursuits, and the arrival of her child marks a special milestone for the Alabi family.
