Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has firmly denied viral reports alleging she orchestrated the re-arrest of popular X influencer Big Ayo, describing the claim as false and misleading.
The rumour surfaced on Tuesday after a now-deleted post suggested that Big Ayo (who clashed with the actress in 2024 over alleged defamation), had been arrested again at her instance. Abraham quickly responded, stating she had no involvement whatsoever.
“Arrest Ayo as how, pls this is fake and false news. I’m on set filming. Pls kindly disregard. I didn’t get Ayo or anyone arrested; it’s all love from me,” she wrote.

The actress was filming at a movie location when the allegation spread, however another X user publicly debunked the claim, noting Abraham had no connection to any police action.
The latest rumour has brought back memories of the July 2024 incident, when Abraham reported persistent online abuse and threats to the cybercrime unit after Big Ayo and others targeted her family with derogatory comments, including false accusations linked to her support for President Bola Tinubu.
While one user claimed his mother was arrested, Abraham clarified that she only petitioned against cyberbullies, and it was Big Ayo who was briefly detained before his release.
