#TrueYarn: Onitsha Quavo Strikes Hard, Clarion Gets Saved & Chinda on Trial

Peruzzi Releases New Album Tracklist

Peruzzi

In this age of social media, if you blink twice, you may miss something. And because everything is now fast-paced, clarity is often lost in the noise of clickbait headlines, unending chatter of Twitter lords and visual excesses of Instagram sensations.

Enters TrueYarn to sift through the clutter, offer some insight, common sense and help you read between the lines of the ‘things wey dey happen for obodo Naija’.

Here goes:

‘Obalende Travis Scott’

Onitsha Quavo, also known as DMW’s Peruzzi, recently found himself in a hot mess after slapping social media influencer, Pamilerin Adegoke.

The singer says his feelings were hurt by Pamilerin who had said Teni Makanaki is a better singer than him — a fact keeps him up at night.

Peruzzi, who is alternatively called Obalende Travis Scott, has since admitted that he erred and all but revealed that negative feedback makes him cry.

He has now promised to be a good boy for the foreseeable future as long as critics “can see the very thin line between opinion and insult”.

His boss, Davido, seconded the apology while noting that artistes “are human beings and we see everything”.

All-seeing.

Clarion saved!

After decades of portraying ‘bitches’, living a life of glamour and glitz, Clarion Chukwura says she has found her way to Christ.

The ex-girlfriend of Sir Shina Peters has now joined Eucharia Anunobi in the league of actors turned women of God.

Henceforth, Clarence Peters’ mother says she will assume the responsibility of saving others.

Somebody shout Halleluyah.

Chinda’s debt

According to the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), Monalisa Chinda is similar to Donald Trump in the tax department.

If for some reason you don’t get the correlation, Google ‘Donald Trump’ and ‘Taxes’.

Meanwhile, the Nollywood actress is facing a two-count charge and the charge sheet says she’s a smooth criminal, having allegedly evaded paying tax for six years.

Her trial is billed to commence on October 10.

Keep her in your prayers.

NotTooYoungToSpeak

If this is not divine intervention, nothing else is.

Two lawmakers — Debo Ogundoyin and Abok Ayuba — in their early 30s have miraculously emerged as speakers of Oyo and Plateau assemblies.

More interestingly, both men emerged unopposed as speakers of their respective state assemblies.

One resides under the multi-coloured umbrella while the other is a broom-wielding changer.

Side-EYE

The EFCC’s trend of parading suspects has resulted in a N100m lawsuit.

Nasiru Ali, a music producer known as Kozzographa, has sued the anti-graft agency for wrongfully tagging him as a Yahoo Boy.

He says the situation cost him money, friends and strained his relationship with his “intended life partner”.

So heartbreaking.
