Uche Elendu Schools Critics on Baba Ijesha’s Newborn: Explains ‘Preterm Birth’

Uche Elendu defends Baba Ijesha and Luminee

Nollywood actress Uche Elendu has reacted to the ongoing social media debate surrounding the birth of a child welcomed by actor Baba Ijesha and celebrity designer Luminee, urging critics to stop speculating and focus on more pressing issues affecting Nigerians.

The controversy began after some social media users questioned how the couple could have welcomed a baby just months after Baba Ijesha’s release from prison.

The timing of the child’s birth sparked widespread discussion online, with many attempting to calculate the timeline and draw conclusions.

Responding to the debate, Elendu took to social media to remind people that pregnancies do not always last the full nine months.

According to the actress, premature births are a medical reality, and many of those questioning the situation appeared to be ignoring that fact.

She expressed disappointment over the amount of attention being given to the issue, noting that Nigerians are currently facing far more serious challenges.

According to her, many households are struggling to make ends meet, while the cost of essential commodities continues to climb.

She argued that these concerns deserve greater public attention than speculation about the circumstances surrounding a newborn child.

Despite the controversy, Elendu congratulated Baba Ijesha and Luminee on the arrival of their baby. She also revealed that she had hoped the child would be a girl, while extending her best wishes to the family as they celebrate the new addition.

She said: “Lol. There’s something called preterm birth. Yea! Let’s face what’s facing us.

She continued: “A basket of tomatoes is 120k, children and families are in agony and live in fear, and gas is 28k per cylinder. I just wish the baby were a bouncing baby girl”.

She added: “Congratulations and welcome to the world, baby. God bless your home”.
