Nigerian TikTok sensation, Habeeb Hamzat, a.k.a Peller, known for his engaging comedy skits and vibrant content, recently experienced an unexpected encounter with UK law enforcement that has since gone viral and sparked conversations across social media.
The incident occurred in Birmingham, on the night of November 19, local police conducted a welfare check on Peller following a complaint from his landlord.
The landlord, reportedly concerned about humming noises coming from the shower fan and Peller’s appearance describing him as looking “underage and distressed” alerted authorities. Responding officers arrived at the property to ensure everything was in order.

However, upon the arrival of the officers respectfully asked questions to verify Peller’s identity and age.
After confirming his age, they proceeded to inspect other rooms in the property with his consent. The officers advised him to reduce the noise level and, finding no further issues.
A video of the interaction quickly circulated online, drawing widespread praise from Nigerians who commended the UK police for their calm and respectful approach. Many compared the handling of the situation to what they described as more aggressive methods often seen in Nigerian policing.
