The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has launched a comprehensive investigation into disturbing allegations of child molestation and abuse at a daycare facility in Lagos.
The order was given by Director General Binta Adamu Bello, OON, following widespread public concern triggered by a decade old post from a well-known Nigerian singer (Simi) that interprets a potential misconduct involving young children in the daycare setting.

In an official statement released today, NAPTIP confirmed that operatives have been directed to conduct a thorough, full-scale inquiry to establish the facts surrounding the claims. The agency stressed that protecting children remains its top priority and appealed to members of the public with credible information, eyewitness accounts, or direct experiences of abuse at the facility to come forward without delay.
NAPTIP assured Nigerians that all official communication channels are fully active and ready to receive complaints. The agency expressed appreciation for the genuine concern shown by citizens and reiterated its commitment to swift, transparent action to ensure justice for any victims and to prevent future incidents.
