Verydarkman hits back at Arewa youths, refuses to apologize to Sultan of Sokoto

Social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) has found himself at the center of a heated controversy with Ambassador Abdul DanBature, President of Arewa Youths, after criticizing the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, over his comments on social media’s role in promoting terrorism.

VDM described the Sultan’s statement as “emotional” and emphasized the positive uses of social media.

DanBature swiftly responded by giving VDM a 48-hour ultimatum to apologize to the Sultan and the people of Northern Nigeria, citing the Sultan’s revered position as a leader in the community. However, in a surprising twist, VDM refused to back down, instead directing a prompt response to DanBature.

In his response, VDM expressed his refusal to apologize to the Sultan, insisting that he was not disrespectful to the revered cleric. VDM, however, took a swipe at the Arewa Youths, apologizing for what he described as their “backward” thinking. The social media personality dared DanBature to take whatever action he deemed fit after the expiration of the 48-hour ultimatum.
