Activist and social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has strongly condemned a recent alleged rape incident in which a young woman was attacked in her own apartment by a stranger, promising to spare no resources to ensure the perpetrator faces justice.
In a widely shared 11-minute reaction video posted on his platforms, VDM expressed deep outrage over the details of the assault and the failure of bystanders to intervene.
He described the crime as “wickedness,” highlighting how the intruder broke into the victim’s home, raped her, and then allegedly attempted to cover his tracks by using a razor blade to inflict a minor self-wound. The suspect reportedly posed as a concerned neighbor who arrived first at the scene to “help,” deflecting suspicion.

VDM repeatedly slammed the neighbors’ inaction: “This is how evil people move in this country… Neighbors dey sleep? Nobody come out?”
The activist then made a powerful pledge saying; “Any amount, I go spend am. Money no be problem. This kind evil soul no suppose dey walk free. I go do everything possible to make sure say justice happen for this girl.”
Calling on the public to amplify the victim’s story, VDM said: “Share this video. Make everybody see wetin dey happen. If na your sister, your daughter – wetin you go do? We must pursue this case to the end. No let am die down. Evil like this must face consequences.”
A new video of the lady shows that she almost took her life but was rushed to hospital by a friend who noticed she had taken an insecticide. Concerns grow for the lady as this new video is going viral on X with netizens calling for justice.
