A legal battle is brewing between controversial social media personality VeryDarkMan and cryptocurrency entrepreneur BLord, as VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Abubakar Marshall, has filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit over alleged defamatory remarks.
According to reports, the lawsuit was instituted after BLord allegedly referred to VeryDarkMan as an “ex-convict” during an online exchange. The claimant argues that the statement is false, damaging and capable of tarnishing his client’s reputation.

In the suit, Marshall is seeking ₦1 billion in damages, maintaining that the alleged comment has caused reputational harm and public embarrassment. The legal team insists that labelling someone an ex-convict without verified proof amounts to serious defamation under Nigerian law.

However, the dispute reportedly stems from an ongoing social media feud between the two public figures, which has attracted significant attention online.
Legal analysts note that for the claim to succeed, the court will determine whether the statement was indeed defamatory, false and injurious to reputation. As of the time of filing this report, BLord has responded with:
