Nollywood actor Mustapha Bakare Otolo, popularly known as Baba Otolo, has named Ibrahim Chatta as the highest-paid Nollywood actor currently, stating that he charges no less than N5 million per day to act in a movie.
Baba Oloto made this known during a recent interview where he explained the dynamics regarding the earnings of actors in the Yoruba movie industry.
He said: “Ibrahim Chatta is the highest paid actor presently, he charges 5Million Naira per day. He also charges 29 Million Naira for using his film village in movies.”
The actor emphasised that if an individual appears in around 20 movies each month, they can earn a significant amount of money.
He compared this type of actor to the older ones, who earn approximately N250,000 per scene. Oloto pointed out that the earning potential for older actors is relatively low, which contributes to their financial struggles in old age.
