Watch “In Her Shoes” – A Exposure of Real Stories about African Women who survived Human Trafficking

Recently, TV Host and Producer, Vimbai Mutinhiri, hosted an exclusive soft launch for her new website targeted at empowering young African women.

Vimbai highlighted how she started the platform for having conversations such as the regulation around akin lightening products and alleviating ‘period poverty’.

She said guests on her platform, thevimbai.com, will have the opportunity to share their unique perspectives in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Well, the dream is becoming a reality as the first episode of “In Her Shoes”, a monologue series on the website for narrating the stories about real life African women who survived human trafficking, has been released.

Imagine being promised a better life in another country, working a job you love and living the dream. Just for your hopes to be killed when you discover that you have been sold into slavery.

This is the sad situation most African women find themselves in.

The first episode in the monologue series, is narrated by star actress, Michelle Dede. She gives a heartfelt detail of the story of a Cameroonian survivor, Awah Francesca.

Via this series, thevimbai.com hopes to raise awareness about modern day slavery by sharing real life stories of African women who have survived human trafficking.
