Nigerian comedian and filmmaker AY Makun popularly known as AY Comedian, has recently sparked conversation online following a candid message shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
In the post, the entertainer cautioned individuals against approaching new acquaintances with financial expectations.
“Not everyone you meet is your miracle Please stop starting with ‘Can I have your number? and later ending up with a request for money. We all have responsibilities,” he wrote.
However, some supporters applauded AY for addressing what they described as an uncomfortable but necessary topic, noting that public figures and successful individuals are often seen as automatic sources of financial assistance.
