The siblings of Nigerian content creator Emmanuel Obruste, popularly known as GehGeh, have reacted after videos of what appeared to be his traditional wedding surfaced online.
The development sparked reactions from fans and influencers, who questioned the relationship and marriage views he frequently shares.
GehGeh, however, maintained that he had never advised people against marriage and urged his followers to be more discerning when consuming online content.
His sister, Precious, claimed that no member of their family was invited to the ceremony, including their mother.
She expressed disappointment over the alleged exclusion.
She said: “We were not invited, we are not aesthetically pleasing. They did not invite anyone in the family. My mother gave birth to eight children, did you see any of us there? Did you see me on any asoebi?”
She further suggested that their financial situation may have influenced the decision to leave them out.
She added: “I have finally realised that to be a member of your own family, you have to be rich. For you to be respected, you have to be wealthy. As we do not have money, they did not invite us.”
GehGeh’s brother also expressed shock, claiming that he only found out about the supposed wedding through social media.
