A woman’s wedding was left in shambles after she discovered her fiancé’s infidelity with his best friend on the eve of their big day.
In a heartbroken announcement, she revealed that she had called off the wedding, citing betrayal and a desire to prioritise her own well-being.
“Today was meant to be my wedding day, but instead, I stand here making a different announcement,” she wrote. “I just discovered that my ex-fiancée has been sleeping with my best friend. This betrayal cuts deeper than words can explain, and it’s a red flag I cannot overlook. I have chosen not to settle for lies. I choose to leave in order to live!”
Her announcement has created a buzz in the comment section with netizens providing their own thoughts on the issue. Some noted that the lady had trusted blindly, and hence the outcome. Some advised that she to go to church for Thanksgiving, as they would have taken her out of the way had the wedding been held.

Like they say, different strokes for different folks, here is another Nigerian man who called off his wedding after paying the bride price of 3.5 million Naira in full.
A user on the social space X shared with the internet that his friend’s brother made the difficult decision to cancel his upcoming wedding after his fiancée’s family demanded an additional ₦1.5 million for food, despite him already paying ₦3.5 million as bride price. The groom-to-be had offered to handle the catering himself, but the family insisted on the payment, citing it as a compulsory tradition.
The groom’s friend revealed that he was deeply unhappy about the situation, especially since his fiancée remained silent and didn’t attempt to intervene.
“Meanwhile, he had already hired event planners to handle everything, including the food. He told them not to worry, but they insisted it was their family’s tradition. His biggest frustration is that his wife-to-be said nothing when he asked her to intervene.”
“When I asked my friend if there was more to this, she said yes. Her brother had already paid over ₦3.5m as bride price and other expenses. He’s frustrated about the entire marriage process, even though he still loves the girl deeply.”
“Well, I support him 100 percent because why would your family be so demanding and you say nothing about it?”
