In a viral video shared online, the lady sat on the stairs of her apartment to lament about the quiet lifestyle and high cost of living in Canada, revealing that she felt unprepared for the reality of relocation. “No one told me Canada is this boring. Today being Sunday, I’m going to church and I didn’t see anybody on the road. It’s not easy here,” she said.

She went further to compare the cost of basic services in Canada to what she would typically pay in Nigeria.

“If I was in Nigeria, I’d braid my hair for ₦1,000, but here it will cost me $50. We’re suffering,” she added.

However, the video has since reignited conversations about the realities of relocating abroad.
