Bobrisky and Gender Misappropriation

The popular transvestite first gained prominence in the late 2010s when they shared of himself on social media. Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, gained mainstream attention for wearing female attire and always using makeup. He was considered a drag queen; however, he continued to claim that he had undergone several operations to transition from being a ‘man’ to becoming a ‘woman’.
The transvestite has also mentioned that he wants to be called ‘Mummy of Lagos’, ‘Queen Bob’, among several other names. Bobrisky has also influenced several other transvestites such as James Brown, whose real name is James Obialor, Jay Boogie, whose name is Daniel Anthony Nsikan, and Buchi Alexander.
