Nigerians have taken to the microblogging site, X, to condemn popular singer-songwriter, Asake, after he disclosed his new appearance.
In the photos that surfaced online, Asake, whose real name is Ololade Ahmed, flaunted his blue coloured hair. Additionally, he unveiled several new tattoos on his already heavily tattooed body.

The Afrobeats superstar has gained a reputation for being one of the most tattooed entertainers in the Nigerian entertainment industry. In the last couple of months, Asake has continued to flaunt brand new tattoos from his face down to the sole of his feet. Although Asake is an ardent fan of tattoos, social media users have come to criticize him for choosing to ‘abuse’ his body.

Social media commentators were predominantly infuriated, and some insinuated that the self-acclaimed Mr Money is suffering from some type of mental ailment. Some commentators further called the tattoos ‘rubbish’ or ‘jargon’.
Despite the negative comments from several netizens, another coterie of commentators stated that Asake is living his best life, and acquiring tattoos has always been one of his major objectives.
