Desola Afod, wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, has spoken out about the criticism she constantly receives over her personality and behaviour in relationships.
In a message shared on her Instagram Story on June 5, Desola revealed that people often misunderstand her no matter how she chooses to relate with others.
According to her, there was a time when she was labelled “clingy” because she stayed closely connected to her former partner while he was abroad.

However, when she later decided to give space and reduce her involvement, she was then accused of acting proud.
Expressing her frustration, Desola questioned how people truly expect women to behave without being judged unfairly.
She said: “They said I was clingy because they’re abroad. I pulled back, and they said I was proud.”
She explained that she is open to learning and improving herself but admitted that the constant criticism leaves her confused about the “right” way to act in relationships and social interactions.
She added: “Beloved, I’m open to learning and understanding. Please tell me how you’d like me to act and relate with you, because it seems whatever I do is being misunderstood.”
