He made this known during a recent episode of the Afropolitan Podcast. Peters said Burna Boy’s love for live performances and his deep understanding of the entertainment industry have helped him grow to the top.
According to him, Burna Boy surrounds himself with skilled professionals who help him deliver quality work, especially on stage.

“Burna Boy loves being on stage and knows what he needs to perform well. He works with people who know what they are doing because it is important to him,” Peters said.
He explained that Burna Boy’s charisma and stage presence have played a big role in making him one of the top names in Nigerian music.
Peters also spoke about the importance of star power in the entertainment world. He said talent alone is not enough, and that personality and presence are what make someone a star.
“There’s a difference between a great actor and a star. If you want to watch great performances, go to the theatre or stage shows. But in music and film, people are drawn to stars because of their charisma and personality,” he said.
He further said that even the American entertainment industry faces a shortage of stars, which affects platforms like Netflix.
“There are not many stars right now. Even America is facing that problem. That’s why Netflix is struggling in some areas, because there are not enough people with real star power,” he added.
Clarence Peters is well-known for directing some of the biggest music videos in Nigeria. His comments have added to ongoing conversations about what makes an artist truly stand out in the industry.
