Leading Nigerian actress, Teniola Aladese, has explained reasons why every lady should reside alone before choosing to walk down the aisle with their life partner.
According to the seasoned thespian, living alone would help the lady to genuinely decide what she wants in her partner and set appropriate standards.

She explained that many women move directly from their family homes to their “husband’s house” without truly understanding themselves or what they want in a partner. According to her, this lack of self-awareness often leads to surprise and frustration in marriage.
Aladese said women can be shocked by behaviors and mannerisms they have “never experienced before.” She added that many women don’t know what they like or the kinds of traits they want in a partner, which can make navigating marital life challenging if they haven’t spent time understanding themselves.

The actress emphasized that living alone first allows women to explore their preferences, set boundaries, and figure out the “nonsense you’ll take and not take.” This, she said, helps women approach marriage with more clarity and confidence, knowing what they will or will not tolerate in a partner.
