Yomi Fabiyi, the Nollywood actor, has disclosed the reason his colleague, Funke Akindele stopped speaking to him many years ago.
According to the controversial actor, during a live TikTok session, he had been friends with the prominent filmmaker and actress until he told her he had completed his house.
He noted that, prior to that moment, their bond was solid, and he could not identify any issue or wrongdoing on his part that led to the silence.
He claimed that Akindele cut off communication without any explanation.
The 43-year-old actor used the situation to reflect on his experience in the movie industry, describing it as a place where people are not always what they seem.

He said many individuals are often seen as kind or sincere by the public, but reality can be different behind the scenes.
Fabiyi added that his experience left him disappointed, as he believed their friendship was genuine and did not expect it to end this way.
He said: “Our industry is very terrible. Those whom you think are good people aren’t. Funke Akindele was my friend from way back. The day I told her that I had completed my house was the last day she ever talked to me, and I didn’t offend her.”
