
In a candid interview with Chude Jideonwo, Nigerian skitmaker Remote shared the heartfelt story behind his decision to tie the knot in 2020.
Remote revealed that growing up without a mother figure in his life often left him feeling lonely and isolated. However, everything changed when he met his wife, whom he started dating in 2016.

Remote praised his wife’s unwavering support and understanding, describing her as the perfect partner who brought love and stability into his life. He shared a touching anecdote about a time when his wife lent him N1,000, and he was deeply moved by her kindness. This small act of generosity made him realize that she was the one he could rely on.

He said, “I got married 2020 to 2021. The reason is that I don’t have a mother. So I was alone. So I’ve been dating my wife since 2016, this girl is doing like a mother to me like this. She’s always been there, she has been supporting me. She’s so supportive, naturally. While I have nothing Ah! She as given me N1000 before and I almost cried. I’m not saying it’s bad But it made you think about your life.”
The skitmaker then explained that his wife’s presence in his life filled the void left by the absence of his mother. He admired her ability to cope with him and provide emotional support, saying, “I think she’s the only one that can… cope with me.”
