Popular Yoruba gospel singer Busola Oke, best known for her hit track “Eleyele,” has opened up about the reasons behind her recent viral Instagram Live video, during which she broke down in tears.

In an interview on actress Biola Adebayo’s ‘Talk To B’ podcast, Oke revealed that the outburst came from the depths of personal struggles.

During the chat, Oke tearfully explained: “I posted that video because I was hungry and depressed. I had nothing to eat. I was going through a lot, it’s just too much for my age.”

She further elaborated that financial hardship played a major role, stating:
“I did that video because I was hungry. I didn’t have food to eat. When I go to shows, I don’t see reasonable money.”

She mentioned that feeling defeated, lonely, frustrated, and unable to provide for herself at times pushed her to the point of a public emotional moment. Eleyele described the viral live session as a cry for help amid depression, lack of food, and mounting pressures.

This revelation comes shortly after Oke cried out to fans that she is stepping away from music, saying “good music doesn’t sell anymore” and apologizing for her distress.
