Nigerian singer, Spyro, has opened up about the personal struggles he faces as a Christian in the entertainment industry.
The singer, took to social media to share how difficult it has been for him to stick to his beliefs despite having money and several opportunities.
According to him, many people find it easy to claim they love God when they are broke or when their options in life are limited.

But the true test, he explained, comes when wealth arrives and one can afford almost anything.
Spyro revealed that the last two years of his life have been the most challenging for him spiritually. With more money and success, he said he has faced several temptations but has chosen not to compromise.
He noted that he has had to reject endorsement deals worth millions of naira because they did not align with his Christian faith. The singer described those offers as “Antichrist” and said turning them down has not been easy.
In his words, “It’s easy to claim to love God/serve him when we don’t have because our options are very limited and we are only being transactional with him. I think the real test of loving God is when you now have so much, can afford anything and still say NO to SIN.”
Spyro further shared that beyond losing endorsement deals, he also struggles with lack of sponsorship for his music shows. He explained that most brands shy away from associating with what he calls “the Jesus brand.” Because of this, he often sponsors his own events.
He said, “Turning down endorsements worth several millions because they are Antichrist ain’t easy. Sponsoring my shows myself because most brands don’t wanna associate with the Jesus brand is hard. And in all of these, the family (Christians) that should cover are my greatest enemies.”
