Winner of the just-concluded Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has revealed her desire to work with popular actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele.
Imisi, who described Funke as her biggest mentor and source of inspiration, said this shortly after receiving her ₦150 million grand prize and a brand-new car at the prize presentation ceremony held in Lagos.
The 23-year-old reality TV star said her time in the Big Brother house helped to bring out her acting skills and made her more confident about pursuing a career in Nollywood.

“I think people saw a lot of my acting side in the house. Even my fellow housemates told me I’m a good actress. I’m ready to take acting seriously,” she said with excitement.
Speaking about her plans after the show, Imisi added, “Funke Akindele is my number one mentor. I really want to work with her one day. I also admire Bimbo Ademoye and Bolaji Ogunmola a lot. They inspire me too.”
The young star said her victory still feels unreal, describing it as overwhelming. She thanked her fans across Nigeria for their love and support throughout the show.

When asked about claims that her win was influenced by regional support, Imisi smiled and said, “Maybe. I think Yoruba people are very supportive of their own, so yes, that might have helped.”
However, she insisted that her honesty and realness were what truly connected her with viewers.
“I was just being myself. I didn’t go in with any strategy. I only lived my truth,” she said.
Imisi also expressed gratitude to her Celestial Church community for standing by her with prayers and encouragement during her stay in the house.
“Fame is new to me, and I know I have a lot to learn,” she said. “I will seek mentorship, keep learning, and remain intentional about my growth. I just want to keep evolving.”
