Olamide, Nigerian music star and YBNL Nation boss has said that being a record label boss is easier for him than being a performing artist.
He said this during an interview with YouTuber Korty EO.
Olamide, who is known for his rap music and for helping to promote talents like Fireboy DML and Asake, explained that his experience as an artist makes it easier for him to work with other musicians under his label.

According to him, “It’s much easier for me to be a music executive than an artist because I am also an artist. I understand how creatives think and feel.”
He added, “I know how artists think. I know how they feel when they are at their best, and I know when they are stressed or overwhelmed. I can tell when they are getting carried away by success, money or fame. Because I understand these things, it is easier for me to manage them.”
Olamide also said he tries not to take on more than he can handle as a label boss. “I try not to bite more than I can chew,” he said.
When asked about why some rappers now switch to singing, Olamide said music has no limits.
“You can’t put me in a box and call me just a rapper. I love music,” he said.
Olamide started his music career in 2010 with the release of his first single, “Eni Duro.” Since then, he has become one of the most respected artists in Nigeria and has released many hit songs. He is also known for helping new artists grow through his record label, YBNL.
Some of the artists he has helped include Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, Asake, and more. Many of them have become successful in their own music careers.
