The wife of Fuji singer Shanko Rasheed has publicly called him out for abandoning her and their children after their son died.
These claims came out a few days after the singer shared on social media that he had lost his child, calling it an experience no parent should ever go through.
In a video now circulating online, she said the singer left her during a very hard time in her life. She disclosed that she had an accident on October 11, which affected her legs and made it impossible for her to work.
She said she was left alone to care for their three children during that period.
She also said their landlord later gave them a quit notice, revealing that the singer told her to take a loan to pay the rent.
When she got the money, he took it but still did not support the family. She further stated that they were eventually forced out of their home and had to seek temporary shelter in a church. She accused the singer of refusing to pay the children’s school fees despite several pleas.
She added that their late son became sick during that time, and she struggled to pay his hospital bills. She said she had to rely on loans and help from kind people to cover the costs.
She said: “I had an accident on October 11 and it affected my legs. I could not work again, and I was left alone to take care of our three children. After my accident, our landlord gave us a quit notice. He told me to go and take a loan to pay the rent. I went to borrow the money, but when I brought it, he collected it from me and still did not take care of us.
“We were later sent out of the house and we had to stay in a church. He refused to pay the school fees despite all my efforts to beg him. When my son fell sick, I struggled on my own to raise money for his treatment. I took loans and people helped me. I am begging Nigerians to please help me. He has now taken our two children away from me.”
