American Justin Bieber headlined Coachella’s main stage on April 11, 2026, his first-ever official headlining performance at the festival, delivering a high-energy set that mixed tracks from his beloved early hits like “Baby,” “Sorry,” and “Never Say Never.”
The standout moment came when Nigerian Afrobeats icons Wizkid and Tems surprised the crowd by joining Bieber for a powerful live performance of their global hit “Essence” remix.

This 2026 reunion flips the script from 2024, when Tems brought out Wizkid and Bieber during her own Coachella set. Five years after its release, the 2021 collaboration continues to celebrate Afrobeat’s worldwide influence and remains a fan favorite.
Bieber’s set followed The Strokes who performed 9:00 p.m on the same stage. Earlier acts included Giveon (7:00 p.m.) and Addison Rae** (5:30 p.m.). The Weekend headliners for the festival are Sabrina Carpenter (Friday), Justin Bieber (Saturday), and Karol G (Sunday).
Bieber returns for Weekend 2 on April 18.
