Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has been announced as the first confirmed headliner for Detty December Fest 2026 in Lagos.
According to a reveal attributed to Billboard, Wizkid will headline the festival’s Grand Opening Concert on Friday, December 18, 2026, setting the stage for what organisers promise will be a major celebration of music, culture and entertainment.
The announcement has already generated excitement among fans, with Wizkid expected to bring his catalogue of global hits to the Lagos event as the city prepares for another busy festive season.
Detty December Fest is part of the growing wave of large-scale entertainment experiences that have made Nigeria a major destination for music lovers during the end-of-year holiday period. Livespot360, which has listed Detty December Fest among its owned festival properties, has previously hosted major international and African acts through its live experiences.
