In a groundbreaking achievement, 14-year-old sensation Boluwatife Balogun, better known as Champz, has broken record by becoming the youngest Nigerian artist to surpass one million monthly listeners on Spotify—just three weeks after his debut EP dropped.

Champz, the eldest son of global superstar Wizkid, clocked an impressive 1,004,060 monthly listeners on the platform, confirming his meteoric rise. His debut project, Champion’s Arrival, released on November 11, 2025, has already amassed over four million streams on Spotify alone, topping the Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums chart within hours and peaking at No. 71 on the UK Apple Music Top Albums chart.

Champz’s mother, Sola Ogudugu who has always been a fierce advocate for her son’s talent, couldn’t hold back her joy. The proud mum shared an emotional post with a picture on Instagram, captioning it; “GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!!!! We are sooo Grateful 🥹🥹 THANK YOU!!! 🙏🏽❤️.”  Wizkid himself has been vocal in his support, recently telling reporters at a New York event, “We love it, man—he’s my kid, you know!”
