The drama began after the woman made public accusations, which were later discovered to be baseless. In an attempt to avoid accountability, she reportedly deactivated her X (formerly Twitter) account and fled both social media and her marital home.

However, justice began to catch up with her when she was arrested on November 6, 2025 and formally charged in court on November 10, 2025.

Despite the gravity of her accusation, Rudeboy chose not to publicise her arrest immediately, likely to avoid unnecessary public sympathy that could derail the course of justice.

Just 24 hours into detention, @chubbiedivah claimed to be experiencing breathing problems and leg swelling, requesting urgent medical attention. Her lawyer pleaded for her temporary release, assuring the court of her return by November 10. However, she failed to return, with her legal team citing ongoing health complications.

The case was then adjourned to November 17 but once again, she was a no-show. The court has now rescheduled the hearing for December 1, 2025, issuing a firm directive that either she or her lawyer must appear without fail.
