VeryDarkMan, popular social media activist, has lashed out at music executive Soso Soberekon, accusing him of disrespect following a proposal to organise a celebrity boxing match between him and controversial singer, Portable

Eelive had earlier reported that Soberekon offered a whopping ₦120 million to stage a showdown between the two online rivals, whose feud has recently dominated social media headlines.

In a strongly worded response posted via Instagram on Sunday evening, VeryDarkMan dismissed the offer as insulting, revealing that he once turned down a $100,000 deal to fight American rap legend, 50 Cent.

Let me respond quickly to Soso Soberekon for this disrespect,” he said in the video. “You can confirm what I’m about to say from Tunde Ednut, because my phone is with the EFCC. Last year, there was a plan for me to fight 50 Cent in what would have been the biggest event in Africa.”

According to VeryDarkMan, the bout with 50 Cent didn’t materialise because of financial disagreements. “They offered 50 Cent $5 million and wanted to give me $100,000. I rejected it. I said if 50 Cent is getting $5 million, then I deserve $1 million.”

He added that earlier this year, after returning from China, he received another fight offer, but again turned it down due to what he described as an “unreasonable” payout.

“So you see the level? I know my worth and I won’t settle for less just to get into the ring,” he said.

Turning his attention back to Soberekon’s proposal, VeryDarkMan said, “It is disrespectful for you, Soso, to say you want to put me in a boxing match for as little as ₦100 million. Do you know how much I’ve spent on charity recently? What is ₦100 million in today’s Nigeria? That can’t even get you a decent house in Abuja.”

He went on to demand a minimum of $500,000 upfront before he would even consider negotiating a deal. “If you want me to fight, bring $500,000 first before we sit down to talk about the balance. But I doubt you even have that kind of money,” he said.

VeryDarkMan ended his rant by warning Soberekon to stop mentioning his name if he’s not ready to meet his terms. “If people respect you, respect yourself too. If you don’t have the money I’m asking for, please stop putting my name on your page again.”
