Grammy Award-winning Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, has made history as the first and only African artiste to sell out the 18,000-capacity Prudential Center in Newark, New York.
eelive.ng learnt that the Afrobeats icon is currently on a United States tour, thrilling fans with performances from his newly released album, “No Sign of Weakness.”
The concert also featured hit songs from his previous projects, including Love, Damini, Twice As Tall, African Giant, and Outside.
Following the electrifying show, Burna Boy was presented with a commemorative plaque in recognition of the historic feat. Taking to his Instagram page, the singer expressed gratitude to his fans and team.

“Thank you for the incredible honour and recognition. This isn’t just for me; it’s for my team, my band, my fans, and every single person who showed up,” he wrote.
Burna Boy’s New York journey has been nothing short of remarkable. From performing at the 1,800-capacity PlayStation Theater in 2017, the 500-capacity Gramercy Theatre in 2018, and the 1,538-capacity Apollo Theatre in 2019, the singer went on to sell out Madison Square Garden in 2022, becoming the first Nigerian artiste to headline the iconic venue.
In 2023, he raised the bar even higher by becoming the first African artiste to sell out Citi Field, a 41,800-capacity stadium in the United States. His latest achievement at the Prudential Center further cements his status as a global music powerhouse.
