Speaking on the Tea with Tay podcast hosted by Taymesan, Nancy argued that while love is important, it is not enough to guarantee what she describes as a “fantastic life.”

The discussion began when Taymesan suggested that people can still live fantastic lives without wealth. However, Nancy questioned that notion, asking how life could be considered fantastic when rent is unpaid, children’s school fees are outstanding, and there is no food at home.
“When there’s rent pending and the children’s school fees, and there’s no food in the house, what’s fantastic life is that?” she asked.

Responding to suggestions that her views may be influenced by her current success, Nancy pointed out that she did not grow up in a privileged home and understands financial struggles firsthand.
“It’s not like I come from a privileged background. You do know that, right? So you’re not even talking to somebody who has seen money all her life,” she said.
Clarifying her stance, the actress stressed that she was not saying love cannot exist without money. According to her, love can still be present, but financial hardship makes it difficult to describe life as ideal.
“I’m not saying you should have all the money in the world,” she explained, adding that her definition of a fantastic life becomes questionable when someone is constantly owing money or unable to afford the things they need.
