Rita Edochie, the Nollywood actress, has called on men to focus on character when choosing a life partner rather than being carried away by physical beauty.
The actress gave this advice in a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, where she highlighted the role of a good woman in the life of a man.
According to her, a woman of good character is a priceless gift that goes beyond material wealth. She explained that such a woman supports her husband, protects his image, and brings honour to his name.

Quoting her husband, Comrade Tony Edochie, Rita wrote, “A good woman is a blessing beyond riches. She lifts her man, protects his image, and adds honour to his crown. If you doubt this, ask Comr. Tony Edochie, my husband.”
The actress also issued a strong warning to men against getting involved with toxic women. She explained that a bad partner can have a negative impact on a man’s life and destiny.
In her words, “A bad woman drains his strength, mocks his vision, and turns his glory into shame.”
Edochie urged men to be careful and discerning in their choice of spouse. She added that beauty alone is not enough when it comes to building a lasting marriage.
She further cautioned, “Not all that glitters is gold; some crowns shine, others hurt like thorns. A woman’s character is more important than beauty. Virtue should be valued above vanity. A good woman builds, while a bad one destroys.”
Emphasising her message, Rita Edochie concluded by saying that the choice of a life partner can determine the rise or fall of a man.
She wrote, “The partner you keep determines if you rise as a king or fall as a jester.”
